There are sites like KickYouTube that let you download the MP4 file directly. Then Hal can just re-upload it to the new account. I think Hal was saying that you need to get permission from the guy that uploaded the video, even though it is from your show.

There is a program called YouTube Downloader where you can download other peoples videos and upload it to your page. It's free. Just Google "YouTube Downloader"
you can put the video in your favorites section on youtube. when you watch a video you like theres something you can click that says favorites
i happened to be showing my buddy a clip from tomgreen.com when you went live tonight a little before 10pm est. i enjoyed the behind the scenes look and the infinite loop was TRIPPY! but if you ever want to record streaming/live video theres a program called REPLAY MEDIA CATCHER that will do this for you. It can record any streaming content via myspace, youtube, your site. figured i'd let ya know about this. lata man!

It would seem that Hals problem is he might be using FCP to upload to the FTP and therefore can't use it during upload.
Why not export/save the completed file locally and then FTP them up to the server using a 3rd party ftp util. This way at least you can start a new project in FCP while your uploading the last clip.
I always like filezilla-project.org but there are lots out there for free.
Tom, you have to tell us for exactly what editing problems you need solutions. Then we can give you some input on whether FCS will really be what you should drop the thousand dollars on...

From what I understand FCS allows you to divide tasks between editors anywhere in the world. You can setup a project and monitor its completion steps. So I'm thinking you could have editors complete projects from anywhere in the world. I for instance could complete a part and someone in Montana could complete another part.

well, Canada day and us 4th of July approaches and can you feel the elecctricity in the air or what? its nice and sunny and things are peachy. must say this... I ran a tour busines here in Tofino for about 8 years, and my aim was to be a positvie influence on as many people as possible, as it was not only good for the soul, but also good for biz. At least once a week i would have some stupid dumb fuch who had nothing better tgo do than shit all over who ever, including yours truly, as a result of being either jealous or lacking emotional capacity to manage their own shit. i ignored these idiots and sometimes it got on my nerves because some poeple are simply miserable and as a result want to make everybody miserable around them. You shared with your fan base a personal thing about Annie, and of course some dumb fuch has to complain and try to tell you how to spend your money. maybe if those idiotss had the guts to deliver the goods with the smae honest clean foolhardy passion as you have for the past umpteen years then maybe they could ask about your decision to spend that kind of cake on Annnie, but to recklessly slag and spew shite about something that really is none of their fucking business is hardly wortyh the effort to respond to. but neever the less, these pukes are about and i appreciate your politenes and want to commend you on setting a good example when respondong to people who dont know how to communicate. keep up the good work and the Channel still needs to be supported, regardless of your previous illusttrous achievements.

Just to point out that you asked her about Vikings in Iceland and we have a Viking festilval here once a year where people dress up as Vikings and fight with real swords, drink and go berserk!
This takes place in the summer and is about 3-4 months long!!!
And you asked about how Vikings look and I´ll send you a photo of me, a real Viking;-)

hellooooo, my name is jake and as u can tell from thwe 'where are you from?' section im from england and im a member, the only trouble is that i want to watch your live stream and it gets very confusing sometimes when they are on and i think they are normally on at 4am here :S but ive noticed uve been doing shows in the day time wich is much better for me and i would like to request that maybe like 15mins before u go live u shud send an email to all the members or newsletter subscribers saying that ure going live, now i dont know how long it takes to send out your emails but maybe u could try to work it out as i think it would maxamise your viewers and should bring more in, im sure lots of other members would appretiate it if this could happen too, thanks tom. jake.
hey for all those guys that cant get enough tom green insanity, but have a hard time catching live shows. Some dude made a firefox plugin that will alert you when Tom goes on air. So if you want it go to google and do a search for "tom green firefox plugin" I hope this helps all you crazy tom green fanatics

Hey Tom, just wanted to say love the show. Long time fan of your edgy humour. Im a big dog person (long haired shepred male Donovan). I like how you remind your viewers that dog is not a pet. They deserve better, they are a friend. Hope annie gets better.
Tom if you could ask hal to put a forum, very simple to do and add a link at the top, it would be very much helpful for the channel. people like me who have been here during webovision and understand whats really goin on here would be able to anwser the people with the same questions that email you in your contact section that never get anwsered. We will help educate the audiences to be more tech savey for you which will help the channel grow. Hal puts up a 5 minute forum, make some mods that you know and it will all work out itself without you or hal having to do anything more.
Also to the guy blake who emailed in earlier, please do a redesign for the channel i know tom has been asking for it, and i agree the site needs a remodel.
I just saw the 2nd episode of Tom's Drawings where you talked about your dog having seizures. I just wanted to tell you that my dog has epilepsy and I empathize with you. It is quite a terrifying thing to witness your loved one having an episode. Now that my dog has been on medication, she has been perfectly normal. Take it easy Tom.
