Been watching and playing since 7pm. been calling friends all night! Been trying to call in on skype ALL NIGHT.. I am one of the POSITIVE people :) I ended up getting a call from a "friend" that had been called by a gut that i called, called. Got that? I know, full circle!
You should kill the phone...I wrote a post about it my blog:
Watching the live stream over at tomgreen.com, and the callers yell out swear words, or racist comments before hanging up...regular anti-social behaviour. It boils down to jealousy, I guess. Anyway, 95% of the callers are pricks who try to spread negativity, so Tom just unplugged the phone, and that's the end of the phone calls...I'm kinda bummed because I've tried to call in before, and there's too many pricks calling in saying "FUCK YOU FAGGOT".
The beauty of it is, Tom is the most harmless guy on the planet. He goes on the air to goof off and have a good time (for free), and people crap on his hat. It's sad really. The guy is trying to make people laugh...trying to bring a little glimmer of joy in pathetic people's lives...and most take advantage of this by screaming "GAY!"
Those people don't like Tom...that's fine, but they don't like him so much that they go on the web, wait around all day for him to come on, then pay long distance fees to call in on his show...what the hell is that about? They must really not like him, maybe even hate him. Hate him so much that they become obsessed with him, and trying to ruin his show.
It reminds me of some article I read last year about the psychology of taggers. People who spray paint their names on shit (not graffitti art, just tags). It's essentially vandalism. And they sorta explained as people acting out their resentment of not being able to have everything they want in life, so they try to bring everyone down to their level. They try to ruin things for other people so that no one can enjoy themselves. It's on a smaller scale, but it's a way of saying, "I might not have built this wall, but I pissed on it. I'm leaving my mark on the world."
It's weird, it's anti-social, and it's depressing. Can't we all just get along? *tear*
I guess the whole Tom Green thing comes down to human/animal behaviour/nature. It's a little depressing though...there are some people that are genuinely nice...and then there are others who see everyone else as a threat to their being/exsitence/popularity.
"I'm the only who can have cake, I won't share it, and I'll actually try to stop you from havin yours..." I've had a couple of run-ins like that over the past few weeks...
It's effed up.
A postive outlook and positivity in general is very hard to come by...to boil down this little rant down into a simple phrase: Would it kill everyone to be nice? Would it kill everyone to lend a hand once in awhile? Would it kill everyone to stop being an ass?
The answer, evidently, must be 'yes', or else I'd still have a chance to phone one my idols.
The question becomes then...is society as we know it, coming to an end?!

and yes, the site did seem to slow down alot, i signed up for skype, changed pages, then had hard time getting back on...
Man, If I'm being selfish I've got to say the moments when you loose your temper are really funny, however I can see things ending in tears between the two of you, I appreciate you need to keep staff to a bare minimum, but man you need a Floor Manager or at least a runner to align cameras and such. You say it yourself positive is the only way to be.

Yo Tom, im a sound designer and i got nice speakers to listen the channel! Of course we can hear the brodcasting compression, you might want to add a low cut to the master mix to clean the sound compression a bit. We you get high sound levels, its get distroted (digitaly) to correct this you might want to find where it get distorted and lower the level then add a limiter to the master, this way you can avoid all distortion. Keep it up Tom and Victor...ehhh I mean Walter! If you need anything audio related hit me up!!
